Our ministry in India is made possible through partnership with a Bible college which was founded in 1983. Through their gracious welcome, we have had numerous opportunities to minister to national pastors and establish a master's level training program within the college.

Annual Pastors Conference
Since 2009, we have hosted an Annual Pastor's Conference. In addition to the 400+ college students, there are 150-200 pastors in attendance each year. Our goal is to inspire and challenge the national pastors and future pastors to passionately commit themselves to the Great Commission. Aside from the need to reach the entire world, India has a population of over 1.2 billion and contains 1/3 of the world's unreached people groups. This makes India a vast unreached field. Every year, pastors give testimony that they are returning home with renewed commitment and passion for the ministry.
WorldView Institute
The greatest need in missions is the Word of God in the heart language of the people. The greatest hindrance to this being accomplished is the lack of qualified people to do the work. WorldView Institute is training Bible translators in a two-year master's degree program of Biblical languages, Bible translation philosophy and linguistics.
The Institute launched in June 2011. Some of our students are from language groups that have no Scripture. During the interview process, potential students were asked why they believed God wanted them to enroll in WorldView Institute. Some of their testimonies were:

- "My own people do not have the Bible. I have a burden to learn how to translate God's Word and help them to read the Word of God in our language." -Birsa

- "I live in an area where there are four tribal groups. Three of them do not have Scripture. My friends and I tried to translate the Bible, but we accomplished nothing because we did not know how. I believe God sent you here to help me learn what I need to give these tribes the Word of God." -Kijen
You can see the great potential of working with those who speak the native languages and know the culture. They already speak 4 or 5 languages in some cases. Our program adds the remaining tools necessary to prepare them for the work.
We are currently working with several of our graduates in translation projects. We work with them all the way through the translation and checking processes to the printing and distribution of the finished product. With the help of God, the result of this work will mean that another tribe and tongue will be gathered around the throne to worship Him.

James serves as the Director of WorldView Institute. James and his family spend the entire school year in India teaching and overseeing the program.

- Pastor Scholarships $250
Many of the pastors who attend our conference are willing to ride a train or bus for two or three days. With most of them being bi-vocational and living on meager incomes, they would not be able to attend without our help.

Our students are committed and capable. They have natural gifts and abilities which give them a solid foundation for Bible translation work.

- Teacher Sponsorships $2000.00
Funds are needed each year for travel and living expenses for the faculty members. Some may be required to make multiple trips.

Runyankore Translation Project
Dan Olachea started the Runyankore Translation Project in Uganda in 2007. A 3-man team of national translators in Mbarara, Uganda are investing many hours each week in the work. The translation of the New Testament has been finished and the first run has been printed. Work on the Old Testament has already begun. Guidance and training classes are ongoing for the workers involved in this project.

Madi Translation Project
After two years of training, this project launched in March 2016, and is led by WorldView Associates Sam Moss and Anders Swanson. God has provided a rental house which serves as a translation center and provides living quarters for one of our translators and his family. The Gospel of Mark has been finished and printed. Work continues on the remainder of the New Testament.

Associate Matt Stensaas has a thriving ministry in Kasese, Uganda among the Lhukonzo people. Matt was a great help to WorldView on the Runyankore Project and it was his burden for the Lhukonzo people to have the Scriptures which gave birth to this project in 2020. A team of four Lhukonzo speakers have completed Biblical language training and translation philosophy classes and the work is well underway.
